Non Lai Inn

The room is of good size for the amount they charge.

The place though near to the main train station, some hotels are still much nearer. Also the place is very solemn and quiet. There are hardly any activities in the area.

It will do if you need somewhere to stay and will not be fussy. The two uncles at reception were so friendly and had basic English. The reception area has a water dispenser and coffee machine (although I've tasted better coffee), plus a small dining area and sofa. The room was very spacious, there was even space for a chaise lounge (albeit very old). Bed was comfortable enough and wifi worked well. The hotel is on the 3rd floor (we met a sour faced lady on the ground floor who grumpily shouted "number 3!" when we arrived). Various places to eat nearby including 7-11. Traffic noise wasn't bad despite being near the road.

It's an old building. The decor was very dated and there was paint peeling in places. Unfortunately there was a distinct smell of smoke though I'm not sure if it was from other parts of the building or residue from previous occupiers. Mosquitos in the reception area. The shower is over the bath but there is no shower curtain so the bathroom is more like a wet room.
