Mama Pierina Restaurant and Annex

Fantastic location on the edge of town, simple amenities in a peaceful area with lots of hiking and activities nearby. Dimitra is an incredible host, ready to provide support with everything from booking you a bus ticket to preparing the perfect meal. She is very attentive to your needs. The restaurant has excellent food. Highly recommend!

Mama Pierinas place is a real haven of peace, it's worth it just for the garden and outside lounge. The host, Dimitra is extremely welcoming and nice and the cook at the restaurant is amazing.

The bathroom needs to be renovated because it's a bit old and there was mold but it's common in Tanzania and I suppose the climate don't help (end of the rainy season for me).

I had a wonderful stay at Mama Pierina Restaurant and Annex. The place is quiet, calm and easy-going - exactly what I needed after a long day of work. The room was was spacious and comfortable, equipped with A/C and a private bathroom definitely great value for money. The food was fresh and served in generous portions. The staff were friendly and the owner truly brings the place to life with her warm personality. The location is scenic, surrounded by nature, with a lovely garden and stunning views of the Uluguru Mountains. It's the perfect spot to relax and unwind in an old charm setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and picturesque escape in a less luxury setting.

There was nothing we disliked. The accommodation is simple but this is what we wanted. The staff, especially the owner are absolutely amazing. It was clean, comfortable, great location and the food was delish. We definitely will be back!!!!

Bedding and the tv was not working

This hotel is a little secluded oasis snuggling at the edge of town. It's within easy walking distance of the centre and there are a number of restraunts nearby.  Our room was clean and tidy with air conditioning. It looked, as all rooms do, over the lushous green garden, where there is a gazebo and comfy chairs for a beer. Breakfast is adequate and consists of toast, butter, Jam, watermelon and eggs anyway you like them. All with tea and coffee. We had an evening meal there too. There was a good choice and the portions are of a good size. The staff are very pleasant and amiable. All in all a good place to stay

Quiet location close to great coffee house and good restaurant in nearby Oasis Hotel

Simple breakfast and old blankets and towels. But for the price certainly sufficient. The owner was not there the days we stayed but 2 Ladies treated us well. Very expensive laundry, make sure you negotiate the price beforehand
