Mama Pierina Restaurant and Annex

Our stay here was exactly what we hat been looking for on our way to Daressalam. The owner Dimitra gave us a really warm welcome and the eating in the restaurant with it's grrek/ italian cuisine after hiking was a great change from ugali and rice :) Whenever we return to Tanzania we'll be happy to come back here!

Very pleasant stay, relaxing garden, good food and it was lovely to play exploding kittens with the landlady and other hosts

Dimitra and her team were lovely, and the guesthouse is a cosy haven in Morogoro. She was more than helpful with transport advice, safety in the area, and general knowledge.

I suggest adding a few more snack items on the menu, which go well with drinks. E.g local karanga, ready to eat cassava crisps. Nothing else to add, all lovely.

Good location. Price for the room was inexpensive.

Our bathroom in our original room hadn't been cleaned properly so we asked to change rooms and the only room available had two twin beds instead of a double bed. There was a large outdoor area with plants but it wasn't very well kept. I understand the owner had been away for a while, so when the boss is away strange things could happen I suppose.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.. The hostess Dimitra was amazingly friendly, she tried to she got me a contact who could bake a birthday cake for my better half:-) We needed a fan( there already was air-conditioning in the rooms) and she made sure it was available.
