Hotel Ajdovec

Service and food were excellent.

The room was comfortable (with AC), very clean and the staff super friendly. We were there for a wedding and the staff made a late check-out (including breakfast) possible. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay there.

The room looked like it had just been renewed and lacked some decoration to make it a bit less sterile - But it’s a detail. Also it was not possible to borrow an iron (NB: the hotel offers a 48h dry cleaning service, but it didn’t help in our case).

very friendly and helpful staff; you get the keys in the adjacent cafe and despite that one was quite busy, the staff helped immediately and took great care to make us feel at home; Room was to the main street, made it a bit noisy, however the windows are sealing off noise very well; just you can't keep it open overnight. The room is quite modern, very clean and with a comfortable bed. parking in a separate spot in the back of the building with reasonable access to the hotel.

Really nice personell, delicious breakfast, great smell of fresh baked bread from bakery.

No bottled water and no water heater in the room. When you arrive late evening after long trip and all shops are closed it is irritating.

The accommodation is good for an overnight stay. Check-in at the hotel from the pastry shop next door, there is no usual Reception. The bed is comfortable, room is clean, has air conditioning, but the bathroom very small and cramped.

Breakfast at the hotel was very poor, it can hardly be called breakfast - a big minus.

It was a clean basic room. The hotel is located near the railway station.

I received instructions by mail about how to pick up the key for my room as I arrived at 8.15 PM. The entrance door of the hotel was already closed at that time. At first, I couldn't find the key box where my key was placed in. When I finally found the key box and managed to open it, there were 2 keys of 2 different rooms inside, without any indication of which one was mine. I had to call someone from the hotel to tell me which key I had to use. It gave me a strange feeling that I turned out to be all alone in the building. The next morning, there was no breakfast buffet. A basic breakfast was served in the bakery next door. Before checking out, I made a quick visit to the castle. In the meantime it turned out that a cleaning lady had already been in my room. Sevnica gave a very desolate impression at night.

Behind the hotel there is a very big parking area. Delicious continental breakfast. Very good coffee, not machine coffee. Lot of green plants in the hotel .
