Hotel Centrál

Great place to stay right in the center of historic Kremnica. I did not have many expectations as I know that the privately owned accommodation in Slovakia might not have means or opportunities to be on the highest level. Yet this place is doing a great job! The room was spacious enough, very clean with clean sheets and towels. The bathroom was adequate. Plenty of space to put the clothes away. Great for a couple of nights (nobody is really spending a 2-week vacation in Kremnica anyway).

The only thing that I would have appreciated in our room is a ventilator since it was quite hot in the room, especially at night.

The hotel is located right in the town center and in a quiet street.

There is no breakfast, lift, fridge, air condition. The price does not correspond to the quality of services. Little music for a lot of money po slovensky: Málo muziky za veľa peňazí.

The owner (boss) was very business like and used his young helpers (who were amazing - Diani (sp) - and so helpful) to converse with us in English. Loved the willingness to work with us, the kind gift of a coin from Kremnica, the beautiful city, the yummy cabbage soup. The funkiness of our apartment (reminded us of grandma’s house).

Initial thoughts that the city would not be what we hoped (soon dashed once we got up and around). A bit dated (but all good).

Centrally located but quiet. The rooms are not worn out.

Only one power plug in the whole room. The breakfast is served, you can choose only from fixed menus.
