We loved the location!

When booking it said pull out couch, ended up being a tiny twin pull out. I wouldn’t have booked that if I had known it was just a twin size. One of my kids had to sleep on the floor. Was not worth the $650 for the 2 nights we stayed.

David was a wonderful host. The property and experience were absolutely amazing. Hot tub under the stars was an additional surprise. Wonderful hikes down to the Arkansas river right out the back door. Don’t pass up the opportunity to book if the property is avail. Highly recommended.

South Main is a gem of a town situated along the Arkansas River and surrounded by massive mountains, some of which tower at above 14,000 feet. Our apartment offered by South Main/Surf Hotel was superb and felt like home with all the necessary amenities. Finally, a mention of the hotel bar/restaurant (Wesley & Rose) was a fave. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was excellent.

Had breakfast at a local restaurant, the blend. A bit of wait, but very good !

Great location, clean and modern space, walking distance of downtown Buena Vista, amazing river access - overall, really wonderful location and place. But, please read on to see what detracted from this otherwise great experience.

The Airbnb apartment shares a wall with a privately-owned apartment. We had the unfortunate luck of using the bedroom that shared the wall with the privately-owned apartment: super loud partying until 5am one night, VERY loud bedroom activities the next night = NO SLEEP at all - the entire stay. I wouldn't stay again for this reason alone. People need to sleep. It's too bad because it completely ruined what would have otherwise been a really nice stay but someone needs to do something about the sound barrier between the two places.
