Very pleasant

Good loacation

Property was modern and clean with comfortable beds. The lodge is located in a beautiful area where you can go one walks or bike trips. everything you need is available. Staff are very friendly. I forgot something at the property’s they contacted me and shipped it back to me, which I highly appreciated, also outstanding fresh breakfast was available.

The parking spots next to the lodge were full I had to park further away. The outside camera “seems” to be faced towards the room which can cause an uncomfortable feeling. The dinner menu is small and most of the dishes are with fries. I rather choose a healthier option like rice or pasta. There is no halal option as of what I could understand from the menu. If you only eat chicken, fish or vegetarian dishes the menu will be very limited ( im sure the staff would offer a solution tho but I didn’t made use of that During my booking)

Toast option at breakfast could be added - but not a big issue

Breakfast was very good. Our room was reasonably spacious, nice bathroom. We had to leave early on a couple of days so we were given a packed breakfast. The lodge is for golfers and has a vast golf course area with 27 holes. Huge putting green, purposely undulating. Big driving range. Very beautiful. The evening meal was good.

Evening menu was very limited. The welcome didn't really happen. Had to go into the bar to find someone. The bar is about 100 yards from the block of rooms, the door to which was locked with no instructions as to where to go. The block is characterless and purely functional. The bathroom door has no closure. About three coat-hangers were provided, at some point the cleaners replaced two bat towels with one. The lodge is a long way out of Assen, there are no busses and taxis are expensive. You will need your own transport. Fine if you're a local. Green fees seemed hugely expensive but this is an exclusive set of golf courses judging by the cars parked outside.

There was no water or refreshments in the fridge in room and the safe didn’t lock

Nice nature around, beautiful sunrises in January. Nice rooms, breakfast in the restaurant included, morning refresh walk to get there was not bad. Parking available, accessible also by bike (as I did). Wifi worked well.
