The Blue C Donsak

Great price for value hotel. The room was big and comfortable, a short taxi ride from the Donsak port.

The boats outside were noisy which did not disturb us too much as we anyway had to get up early.

The bed/room/bathroom were all very good - comfortable, clean with enough space. The sheets were lovely! My partner even did some work in the room. The reception staff were so helpful as we wanted to go to a non-seafood restaurant (none that we could find in town) and organised for their friend to take us, even rescuing us from the car with umbrellas when heavy rain started. (There are no taxis here!) The Blue Donsak cafe served delicious smoothies and cappuccinos. We hadn't realised breakfast was included so tuna melts and cappuccinos were a delicious surprise.

We had to lift our cases up two sets of stairs. (No lifts) We were using packing cubes so were able to do a couple of trips instead.

Hotel is fine

Good size room

The hotel was incredibly noisy, you could not sleep here, boats left constantly from under the window of the room. Ear plugs should have been provided as a bare minimum. Also the walk in rate was 35% cheaper than booking the discount rate on booking.com, so I significantly overpaid for a room in which I could not sleep. Power points were in strange places and the bathroom flooded as the drain for the shower was behind the toilet.

Good location close to a small market and 7/11. However, the room was extremely warm when we arrived. In my opinion the staff could start cooling down the room before a quest arrives. We drove for many hours and was looking forward to lay down and rest. But the room was like a sauna. Since they ask when you arrive, they have a clue and could start the AC. The toilet smelled bad and we avoided to use it. The blanket in the bed had a big brown stain on it and did not feel clean. There are no elevator, keep that in mind if you have heavy suitcases. The pillow in the bed was very thin and I think my neck will hurt for several days now. For the price, it is acceptable.

The staff were professional and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
