The location is great—close to major landmarks like the Infinity Column and Table of Silence, and within walking distance of several restaurants and cafes2. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly good with fresh coffee and made-to-order options. My room was clean, but not so spacious. Some furnishings felt a bit dated, and the overall cleanliness could be improved in certain areas. If you're not too picky and just need a place to sleep, it’s manageable. Overall, Hotel Palace offers fair value for money, especially if you prioritize location and friendly service over luxury. I’d recommend it for budget-conscious travelers who want to explore Târgu Jiu without breaking the bank.

Good location, near the center.

We weren't informed that the kitchen in the restaurant closes at 21 o'clock and it was an unpleasant experience when some of us stayed hungry as they couldn't order food.
