Shoki Shoki Hotel Stone Town

The price is very compatitive. USD35 per night is one of the best offers in Stone Town. Location is also good - close to a beach and not far from Lukman restaurant. The rooms are big and clean. The staff is trying to make it comfortable. However if your budget is USD50-70 per night you will definately find a better place in Stone Town. For USD35 per night it is a very good place.

No restaurant for lunch, dinner or even coffee. Breakfast - very slow. Unfortunately, they do not have any food ready. Usually it takes about 20-30 mins to make an omlet, a sausage and a few toasts. It is highly recommended for the staff of the hotel to make at least fruits and toasts available. No coffee machine! Only African cheap coffee made from a can of powder. I had to buy true coffee outside. AC - it seems they don't maintain ACs. It is working and blowing but not cooling the room at all. I complained about it and they fixed it the next day. But after 2 hours it broke down again. Not happy with the quality of the ACs at all! WIFI - slow and sometimes down. Not good for watching a movie online. For emails and whatsapp it is okay. Generator - it seems they don't have it. When I was checking out early in the morning there was a backout. To conclude, you won't find a place for USD35 per night without any problems. Shoki shoki's price is very good for the service they offer. And I noticed the staff is very friendly and trying to do their best. Security is also good. However, if you budget is at least 50-70USD per night you will find a better place. USD100+ per night you will get a hotel with a sea view rooms.

It was a great time at Shoko Shoki Hotel in Stone Town. The room was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast very good. I would always come back and recommend. :)

Arredo molto curato, con mobili tipici. Le zanzariere erano orlate con il tessuto di cui erano fatte le tende delle finestre, la nostra camera, spaziosa, ne aveva 4, molto luminosa. Bagno nuovo spazioso fornito di ottimi prodotti. La colazione ottima, si può scegliere tra inglese, vegetariana e dolce. In ogni pianerottolo un dispenser per riempire le bottiglie di acqua potabile. Il personale molto gentile, competente e disponibile.

In bagno avrei voluto, oltre al telo per la doccia, anche un asciugamano più piccolo

Amazing Room, location and staff

that we couldn't stay more days.

We appreciated the closeness to the the market and local restaurants. This made it a great place for exploring StoneTown on foot. The room had an aircon which was a savior for the hot and humid weather, this was appreciated.

Lack of cleanliness: There were stains on the bedding which is a big no-no.

very nice and breakfast was lovely, anastasia at the desk was very friendly and helped us with our time in zanzibar
