Sahari Zanzibar

Probably the best hotel in our stay in Zanzibar. Staff is incredibly kind and helpful - Mwanaheri, Irene, Amos and Gabel (amongst others) made our stay in the hotel unforgettable and extremely comfortable. The rooms are excellent, well equipped and carefully designed with some quality materials and lovely decoration. The swimming pool and hotel gardens and landscape integrate perfectly with the environment. The food at the restaurant is simply fantastic and at reasonable prices. Could not recommend enough!

Everything was perfect

Vi fikk gratis oppgradering av rom, utrolig hyggelig vertskap, stille og rolig, god tour av hotellet og ble ivaretatt hele veien. Samtlige ansatte, alt fra i resepsjon, rengjøring, servitør og kokk var utrolig hyggelige og jordnære mennesker som gjorde oppholdet ekstra bra.

Ikke kjøleskap på rommet - dog ikke noe problem å ta med drikke fra restauranten til soverommet

Great room and tours offering

The most amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The team there is so caring and friendly, all wanting to make your stay as memorable as possible. The pool is amazing, and it’s right next to the beach where the water’s really warm. Restaurant at the hotel is great, they have a wide food selection (local, international, Asian, and European foods), as well as plenty of vegetarian options. The service is fast and so so kind and enthusiastic. The hotel itself is rather small and intimate, making it the perfect place for unwinding and relaxing.

WiFi connection is unstable at times.

Un établissement de qualité avec un personnel incroyable ! Que ce soit le Chef, la sécurité, les dames de ménage, la masseuse… tous étaient d’une gentillesse et m’ont offert un service digne d’un hotel 5*. Un merci particulier à toute l’équipe du service, au manager et l’ass. Manager… ils ont été aux petits soins durant tout mon séjour ! L’hôtel est magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur l’océan. La cuisine était délicieuse ! Elvera et Glory un grand merci pour vos sourires, votre bonne humeur et votre gentillesse !

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist außergewöhnlich. Das Personal ist top, sie gehen auf all deine Wünsche ein und sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Poolanlage ist traumhaft.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr stylisch eingerichtet, ein absolutes Paradies. Man fühlt sich auf Anhieb wohl. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass es sich um eine kleine Anlage handelt, sodass man dem Massentourismus nicht so ausgesetzt ist. Hervorzuheben sind auch die unglaublich freundlichen Hotelangestellten, wir wurden von jedem einzeln herzlichst empfangen. Danke für die vielen netten Gespräche! Zum Frühstück und Abendessen gibt es ausgewählte Speisen a la carte. 7-10 Tage hält man es hier super aus (danach wird die Essensvielfalt ein wenig langweilig - dann vlt doch mal auswärts essen gehen). An die Schnorchelinteressierten: Das Riff ist zwar relativ weit weg (auch aufgrund der Gezeiten), aber ein kleiner schnorchelausflug direkt vorm Hotel lohnt sich trotzdem. Da gibt es nicht viel zu beanstanden. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war leider recht laut. Der Schlaf hätte entsprechend gerne erholsamer ausfallen können. Zimmer sind hingegen der Anlage recht einfach gehalten. Hat uns für die Dauer des Aufenthalts jedoch nicht gestört.

This place is very special, exceptionell personell who strive to make your stay perfect, especially the restaurant staff. Always friendly and a smile on their face. I had the room over the kitchen with view over the ocean with breathtaking sunrises - taking a dip during sunrise was very memorable! The trips you can book at the hotel are really nice but you should definitly negotiate the price and my tip would be to bring your own snorkeling gear (no matter where you book a trip) - the equipment is often quite old or not fitting well. For snorkeling I would recommend the trip to Pungume Island more than the Safari Blue Trip in the South. The cleanliness, beautiful decor and plenty of different seating and chilling areas throughout the hotel just make it very cosy and round this place up perfectly. If you seek a quiet place with a great pool area, delicious food and very nice people, look no further!

The tide is in that area really strong, at my stay it was only possible to swim in the ocean early in the morning or later in afternoon, but I was aware of it before and made some snorkeling and bathing trips plus the pool area is great, so it was fine for me. Plus it was really interesting to see how the landscape changes. The prices in the restaurant are more European prices, there would be for sure cheaper options out there, but the quality is really good! There are some Massai at the beach talking to you when you take a walk, but being a single female traveler, I got used to that anyways. Sometimes it is annoying, but I still had some nice chats even though I made clear that I wouldn't buy anything. I have heared though that it is pretty quiet compared to other beaches (i.e. Nungwi). All these things I just want to mention, but they would not be a reason for me not to come back - I fully recommend this hotel :)
