"A decent choice in Poltava"

A stately old Soviet hotel that's been well-updated. The staff members I interacted with were very sweet and accommodating. My requests for early check-in and luggage storage were readily fulfilled. It's not right in the center of the action, but it's still walkable to the center and there's a bus stop a block away.

Being an older hotel, there's a residual smell of cigarette smoke that goes away fairly well when the air conditioning is engaged.

Location is excellent, very close to downtown, shopping centers, restaurants etc.. Breakfast was very good with several options.
