Location was the ONLY good thing.

They didn’t have our reservation. Thankfully they had a room. Charged us MORE than what we booked it for.

I lived in the area for 20+ years, always drove by it, wondered what it might be like. Local Mom and Pop charm instead a corporate owned hotel that feels impersonal. Great price point. Super clean room, awesome service-(if I needed something someone helped me right away), comfortable beds with a variety of pillows: flat fluffy, and really fluffy. I was visiting family and it was close to their house and close to Bloomington. If you want a clean , basic room with no bells and whistles, The Patriot Inn is perfect.

Telephone didn't work, to make outside local calls. Hotel is on a county highway, so it can be loud during the day with local traffic. The owner wasn't around when the phone issue happened, and the person working wasn't sure how to handle it. No big deal. I love there's a microwave and mini fridge in the room; however, having a coffee pot and a couple snacks from local vendors would be great. It doesn't have to anything huge, maybe a pastry from the local grocery/coffee shop, voucher for a free drink or menu item from Civilian Brewing Company. The room decor was outdated, but rather than updating it--I really think it could pop with a retro theme. Keep the 70s mustard yellow, avocado green, and get some fun art on the walls from garage sales: velvet paintings of a desert, fruit still life, a Marüshka silkscreen, or get the work of local artists for sale, bring some extra income with commission work. So many possibilities!

Needs serious updates. Room was freezing, could not read dials on window unit to adjust. Bed was NOT comfortable at all. Toilet/bathtub area were cramped. Lighting at sink area was not bright.

Good price and the people at the facitilty were nice.

The heater in my room was not working properly so I could not keep the room at the temperature I desired.
