Great stay

Nice place to stay. Clean. So early closing amenities.

I felt safe.

Very clean and comfortable!

The staff was great. The room was big. The bed was very comfortable.

The floors were filthy. I dropped a bit of water in the floor, wiped it up and the rag was BLACK. It was disgusting, so I checked a few other areas and it was just as bad. I was afraid to take my shoes off, the whole weekend.

Location was very good for our stay in West Monroe.

Three things: (1) I was charged more for the stay than was arranged through Booking.com, e.g., $350.99 v $315.65 diff = $35.34. I noticed the first night charge was $169 on the registration at check in and called it to the attention of the hotel rep. He dismissed my claim and refused to look at the email receipt I pulled up on my Smart Phone saying it was beyond his control. (2) The staff was unpleasant. Especially the night clerk described in (1). I believe I was courteous to him despite my disappointment with the disputed charge. Later that same evening, I asked him how I should pay for a Diet Coke from the lobby kiosk and he sarcastically quipped, "Well you pay me. How else are you going to pay for it?" Perhaps I am a bit slower than most but I was taken back by his attitude. (3) Little things.... The nightstand clock had two of the seven segment display LED's burned out. It was a challenge to figure out what time it was throughout the visit. But later in the visit, I found satisfaction in figuring out what time it was with the missing display information. Oddly enough, there was also one of the seven segment displays burned out on the wall mounted thermostat. I mused that perhaps the room was haunted by a ghost who fooled with seven segment displays. The showerhead had multiple spray settings but none of them seemed to direct the spray towards the center. I was disappointed by this but didn't mentioned it to my wife but she made the same observation and told me about this defect. While taking a Sunday afternoon nap, we kept hearing a slamming of a door intermittently for almost 30 minutes before checking out what was going on in the hallway. It was a maid with ear buds on. She did apologize for not realizing the slamming noise and it went away for about 15 minutes but later returned. We tried to ignore it during the second cycle.

Check in through the app was super easy. The hotel is well maintained and clean. In a safe area.
