Steynshoop Mountain Lodge (Hotel)

Everything, it was awesome...I would highly recommend it. The service, the view and the food was amazing. The host was amazing. We were so impressed.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Amazing views and delicious food. Very quiet and peaceful place.

The frogs found in the bathroom of room 3 made it uncomfortable for us to be there, though staff assisted with removing them. The shower drain was not working properly, hence there was flooding when showering. Maintenance staff tried to unblock, however it didn't work. Showering with the small showerhead was unpleasant.

The breakfast was very good. The evening meals were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the location was amazing. Will be back.

The only thing I didn't like was hearing every movement my upstairs neighbors made. The creeks and cracks were loud enough to wake me up.

The views of the mountains was wonderful. - Nice if you just want to rest. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful swimmimg pool.

The monkeys - one cannot keep your doors open for fresh air - monkeys come in and grab whatever they can get to eat.

The property is well maintained and allow relaxing mood to kick in

The carpet everywhere, if you have sinuses it will be struggle staying

Steynshoop Mountain Lodge is a gem nestled in the Magalies Mountains. Upstair rooms are well equipped with a large bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a small balcony/patio. Pieter was an excellent host and Winnie and Anelize made sure that we were comfortable and well looked after. Every choice served at dinner was prepared to perfection and well presented. Compliments to the chef. The large swimming would be really enjoyable in warmer weather. The gravel road to the lodge is not so bad - just drive slow and enjoy the scenery.
