Beach Walk Hotel

Cleaning staff walked into the restroom while I was in the shower, did not feel safe afterwards, left a night early.

Location and the staff. Housekeeping changed the towels and took trash only. The front desk was attentive when our sink was clogged, and the toilet seat was broken. She had maintenance there right away.

The property is getting old, and could get some remodeling. The bathroom towel rack was missing, and the floors were very slippery when wet. The pillows were short and cheap. I hope that they make some improvements.

There was a funny smell in the hallway many times throughout the days. Bed was not in good shape

Location was perfect! The room was perfect for a quick OC visit, the bed was very comfortable! Loved that the hotel has their own parking lot!

This property was great! You are right by the boardwalk and honestly it’s the best starting point to walk the boardwalk because the lively areas on the boardwalk are from 1st-10th street. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly! Perfect for a small family!

I love the Beach Walk Hotel. This is the third time I’ve brought my daughter there and we’ve had a great experience every time!

The guests across the hall were in and out pretty late, slamming the door loudly every time. Fortunately it stopped after an hour. Of course that’s not a reflection of the Beach Walk.

We love the location and price. It’s the only place I’ve seen so far that has nearly ocean front view from the porch without paying ocean front prices. It’s small, quaint, and safe feeling. Very friendly staff. It has some shortcomings that would be easy to rectify, such as no handles on the cupboards and drawers (at least in family room #18), we had to make tape handles to be able to open cupboards. The fridge had its handle broken off, light bulbs were burnt out, lots of dirt where the floor meets the walls, the carpet is very greasy and stained, mini blinds are messed up. These things could bother someone with higher expectations. But for us, the only thing that really bothered us was that even though it has a kitchenette, it is completely bare…. no utensils or dishes. They really should specify this in their description of the room. Even when I called the hotel to ask I was told “I don’t know if there’s silverware in there.”. If they put a little more effort into its upkeep it would be absolutely perfect. But we come every year and will continue to do so, we love it despite its imperfections.

The location

My room had holes in the wall in back of my bed. The curtain had a hole in it where people on the deck could see inside my room and the bathroom window curtain did not come all the way down leading to no privacy in the bathroom as well as the main room. I have photos.
