Hotel Leiriense

Localized in the center of Leiria so every important point in the city is nearby. Lovely and wonderful night life.

The staff does not speak English or any language other than Portuguese. However, they are very friendly and willing to help. So, despite not knowing the language, you will eventually find a way to understand each other.

I stayed last night, and I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. To begin with, the main door is always locked, even during the day, making it a hassle just to get in. This is frustrating, especially when you're carrying luggage or trying to access the hotel quickly. As soon as I entered, the hotel had a strange, unpleasant smell. The room was very old and poorly maintained. The bed was an absolute disaster – the mattress was completely worn out, and I could feel the springs poking into my back all night. This left me with significant back pain. On top of that, the noise was unbearable. You can clearly hear the doorbell ringing at reception, along with the footsteps and conversations of other guests. Imagine this happening at 2 a.m. when you're exhausted and trying to sleep! It made for a very uncomfortable and restless night. The bedsheets and blankets were also in terrible condition, which added to the overall discomfort. In summary, my stay was far from restful. The hotel is in desperate need of updates and better soundproofing. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you're looking for a good night's sleep.

The location was amazing: walking distance to everything. I liked the armoire and the bathroom even had a bidet. The windows were operable and the building was cute as well. Staff were friendly and informative.

For me, the bed was a little bit hard and I couldn't figure out how to use the air conditioner. It wasn't too hot, but I needed some air and the noise from the neighbourhood at night made it difficult to sleep without closed windows. I had earplugs which I eventually employed.

The location was perfect.

The room were very old. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. The toilets were old and poorly cleaned.
