Zafer Hostel

Excellent location; reasonably cheap; it was cold outside, and the heating worked very well.

It's a pretty basic accommodation for low-budget travelers and locals, so don't expect the Ritz. It really isn't - it's kinda bare-bones and a bit old-school, which has its own charm. But I really have nothing to complain: in its range, it's pretty good. As a backpacker, I would totally come back here.

Nice staff, tea, water on demand. Very good localisation. Great places in a short walking distance. Cheap and valuable food around (lokanta, market a101, bim)

It was not clean. Smells of cigarettes although it was info that smoking is not allowed

No bed sheets, No internet and the share toilet for five rooms is a hole in the floor

What I really liked about my stay in this hostel was the clean and clean smelling room. Also there is a nice and friendly cleaning lady from Syria, who was really nice to get to know and talk to. The owner of the hostel was also nice and offered tea to me several time. The hostel is centrally situated, if you are interested in visiting Jalalludin Rumi and Shams-i-Tabriz. There are also some restaurants and the tramstation not far away from the hostel, and a bakery is next door!

Unlukily the bathroom is in a weird condition. The lights were broken/not working properly and also the warm water heater did not always work. I think with little afford the bathroom situation could easily be improved and become more hygenically.

The staff was very nice, helpful and welcoming. The location was very good and close to the center. I advise you to stay in Zafer Hostel.

I arrived late at night and was met by a very polite guy whoo even offered me a free upgrade, as I travelled with kids. A very positive surprise.

The staff were very nice. The place was mostly clean. The wifi worked well.

The room was very hot so I slept with the window open and there is a nightclub across the street or something, it was very noisy all night until 3am. I don't mind but people with kids should know before coming. The rooms do all smell of smoke but that is pretty usual for Turkey. The bathroom is shared, luckily I was the only person on my floor or it would have been difficult.

No towel

It is a family run hotel. There was a mistake with our booking and the lady changed our room for a more comfier one.

Completely outdated, two beds were broken in our bedroom. The bathroom was working but there is some safety question with electric cables exposed just above the shower. Also (and that's the worst for us) a very very strong smell of cigarettes everywhere. Not great when you're travelling with a 2 years old baby...
