Laaiplek Hotel

We loved the service. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. It was nice to have breakfast in the morning with was packed with goodies and very filling. The bed was comfortable and shower was hot.

Our room was very noisy, so we didn't get much sleep. I suspect it backed onto the kitchen or a communual area. at around 2am, I could hear every word said in the room next door. I believe in honesty as otherwise there's no change.

I would have preferred a room with a river view.

The view was amazing! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and breakfast was really good. Sadly we booked in later than expected so was not able to enjoy everything that is offered but definitely going back for a longer stay next time

The bathroom could do with some new curtains and the window was broken in my mom's room making the room very cold. But the extra blanket was great to warm her up

We did not stay the night and did not ask for a refund. We could not use the open restaurant due to a closed function and our room allocated was directly opposite this area. We decided to rather head back to CT and would have appreciated being told at the time of booking that there is a private function. With nothing else to do in the area, it just wasn’t worth staying. Sadly, we will not go back. What we saw of the indoor restaurant was also disappointing. I do hope they improve service. I did message the hotel received a reply - would have been great if the Manager offered an alternative but I shall leave it as is.
