African Sky Hotels - Pine Lake Inn

We attended the Lowveld Canoe Marathon (Lowveld Canoe Club). It's right across the property. It was great to have our support crew able to support us from the venue where we stayed, allowing partners to sleep in, but still enjoy our race.

Some staff wasn't very helpful. Others went above and beyond. Would be nice to have a place where we can leave boats. There was a group booking with people attending a conference - they got quite rowdy the 1st night. Management quickly intervened, however, next morning breakfast was not enough when we went. Couldn't wait as we had to get to event.

I was made to sleep in a single bed which was not comfortable

The place is quite and refreshing. Good for family outing and safe for children. The setup outside is outstanding with the dam view.

The place need renovations, the beds are not comfortable and the linen not on standard, blankets old and towels have stains not white anymore. They should buy new duvet inners. Staff must clean perfectly. They must have variaty on breakfast, not same thing everyday.

I liked their breakfast, the restaurant stuff was nice..

When I arrived, my room was already given to some white lady/couple and I was put in her room which was not the same as the one I had booked.. I had to beg and beg for a better room like I was asking for a favour when all I wanted was to get the room I had booked.

Everything....beautiful surroundings, great staff, awesome food! Really a most enjoyable time.

Dinner buffet is expensive and a la carte option would be good

The staff was very nice and so was the breakfast.

The carpet in the room had an unpleasant smell. It needs deep cleaning.
