Hotel Glaus

The hotel is in a perfect central location. It feels elegant and traditional, with a charming historic mountain-town atmosphere. The rooms were exceptionally clean and beautifully reflect the local traditional architecture. The bathroom was spotless – honestly outstanding – and very well equipped. Everything was provided (shampoo, conditioner, soap) along with good quality toilet paper, which added to the overall premium feeling. The food was also excellent. The kitchen felt premium, with high quality meals at a very reasonable price. Compared to typical city-center prices, it offers great value. The view was fantastic, especially towards the Old Castle and the historic town center of Banská Štiavnica. We felt comfortable and looked after the whole time. The staff were very kind and really try to help with everything. I can truly recommend this place.

Maybe the only small downside is that there aren’t many budget meal options – most of the menu is clearly premium. That said, it’s still one of the most affordable places in town for the quality you get, and you really won’t be disappointed.

Páčila sa nám izba, že mala osobitne spálňu a osobitne izbu s TV, kuchynským kútikom. Veľmi oceňujeme polohu hotela, síce centrum, ale pokojná časť. Milý personál, ústretový. Pri príchode nás odprevadili do izby, pomohli vyniesť batožinu. Pekná hotelová reštaurácia, chutné jedlo.

Nič zásadné, s čím by sme boli nespokojní nás v tomto hoteli nestretlo.

Every staff person we encountered was friendly, helpful and attentive. The accommodation was excellent, well-equipped and much roomier than we anticipated. The hotel and grounds were very well maintained and the environment was inviting and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good as was the service. The location is well situated - very central but quiet and peaceful.

The only thing I can think of, was the food and coffees could have been a bit hotter when served. Everything else was terrific.

Poloha hotela, parkovanie. Raňajky sú výborné.

Na izbe trochu chladnejšie, ale iba na začiatku. Možno na izbe chýbal sačkovy čaj alebo sypaná káva.
