Sulu Sea Boutique Hotel

My best stay in Philippines! Very clean and cozy hotel far from noisy parr of island. Good breakfast with machine coffee, just 1 minute walk to the beach

Staff is amazing & accessibility to Diniwid beach and Mama’s fish house.

The first thing we liked was the room size. They are large and spacious. We stayed in both room types — with a garden and without one — and both options were great. The second thing I’d like to mention is the breakfast. Breakfast was included in our rate, and we also purchased one additional breakfast for another guest. The food was excellent, tasty, and reasonably priced for Boracay. The staff were always helpful, ready to give advice, answer questions, and assist whenever needed. This is not directly related to the hotel, but the beach feels like a secluded paradise with clean water. After White Beach, it feels like a peaceful hidden gem — no vendors and no crowds of tourists. There is also a beach bar where you can order a drink and use the sun loungers. Also not directly related to the hotel, but nearby there are many small shops and 3–4 good cafes with decent food options. And finally, a nice bonus for animal lovers: the hotel is home to the three cutest dogs — Sky, Winston, and Gia.

I would also suggest that the hotel consider adding more hooks in the bathroom. There are currently not enough, and while it’s a small detail, it would make guests’ stay much more convenient. There are also two things worth mentioning that are not directly related to the hotel but may be inconvenient for some guests. First, there was a small construction site nearby. The noise did not bother us, but it could be an issue for other visitors. Second, the path leading down from the hotel to the main road is quite steep and has exposed tree roots. We actually had a few minor falls because of the small roots on the path, so guests should be a bit careful.

It’s quiet and serene.. a ample room space, a vast terrace(veranda) and walking distance to the beach.

The room was very. very big and comfortable. The aircon worked perfectly which was nice given how hot it was during our stay. We’ve really enjoyed the location. It’s a 10mins walk to Station 1 if you go through the beach or you can get a scooter/e-trike ride just outside the hotel for very cheap (150-200 pesos). Diniwid beach is a little gem, much more authentic and less touristy than the other main beaches on the island. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boracay. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

The water takes a little while to get warm but it’s not a big deal depending on the time of the year you’re travelling. One little thing was that I ordered banana pancakes for breakfast (specifically for the banana) and they were brought to me without it. When I asked for it the staff told me they ran out of bananas - that’s totally fine but I would have liked to know that before I ordered them. Other than that, it was a great stay :)
