Mark III, INN & Suites

No breakfast was eaten there.

The Inn was in a great location. It was easy to get to downtown St. Joseph and to the wineries. The room was recently updated and it was nice to have a mini fridg and microwave. Bob did check the room when he got there (and was apologetic for our waiting for him to get us checked in) and did bring us extra towels (which was a good thing since there wasn't anybody there to assist us if needed). We realize it is more of a "roadside" type inn and if we were just passing through for a night it would be a quaint place to stay for the price. Communication prior to our stay was great; returned phone call and responsive to email communications.

We had requested a 3:00-4:00pm check in on a Sunday (which was confirmed upon booking by owner). When we arrived, there was NOBODY there (office door was open with a note on the desk to call for assistance)! The restaurant was also closed. We called the number on the sign posted in the office and had to leave a voicemail with no call back. We also called the restaurant number and eventually had to call booking.com. They were able to get ahold of the owners who did come right away to get us checked in. We confirmed with him after having to wait (45 minutes) that he was aware we would be coming during that time, and "knew he would miss us." "I have waited for people that say they are going to be there at a certain time and then don't show up until 10:00." He was apologetic and "Stacy" sent us an email communication after talking to booking.com that Bob was on his way; so thank you for that. We never saw staff there during our 3 day stay and were told if we needed anything to call. The only evidence that our room was attended to during our stay was that trash was emptied once, towels were picked up after the first day, and the comforter was removed off the chair. (I made the bed). Needs a deadbolt on door, felt very insecure. The AC is VERY loud and we had to shut it off in order to try and sleep, but then the room got so stuffy; 3 unrestful nights of sleep. No breakfast or ice machine, but Joe's Cafe is excellent just across the street. Upon checking out there was once again nobody there, and the sign stated to just leave the key in the room.

We didn't do breakfast. We ate and drank too much at the bar the night before! The food and drinks were amazing. Bartender was great! Beds were comfy! Definitely will stay again.

The bed was comfortable

We just wanted a good night’s sleep. The air conditioner on one side of the bed and the dehumidifier on the other were so loud we could not sleep. We finally turned both off and just suffered the heat. The pillows were so high we threw them off and used folded up towels to sleep on. This was one of the most dissatisfying stays I have had in decades.

Nothing

The room was miniature and there was no closet. Certainly not like the pictures.

Clean and comfortable. Good Value for what it is.
