Belz Boutique Hotel

Big, clean, spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed, heating & aircon. Property was easy to find, and accepted a last minute booking. Staff were friendly.

The WiFi didn’t work in my room. I could hear the doors across the hotel opening & closing. There was loud noise of conversation, doors opening & closing & glasses from 6am (I think from guests). The pool was green on arrival. There was no electricity from late at night until my departure, but that was not the hotels fault, it was across the town, but the hotel did not have any back up generators or solar.

We arrived late at night but received our keys from the security guard at the gate. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. We were able to utilize the restaurant area to consume our take-aways. My vehicle was well secured within the hotel premises.

Rooms smelled of cigarette smoking. As in most towns in South Africa, crime is prevalent, but the venue and my vehicle was well secured. Many restaurants in Ixopo close early at night and some are closed on several days in a week.

Expected a buffet breakfast but we had a nice breakfast nonetheless

Breakfast is good. Location close to all main points. Staff helpful when I had a tummy bug.
