Transylvanian Inn

We loved our stay at Transylvania Inn. Our room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of Bran and the castle in the distance. The breakfast was amazing! Diane was so helpful and kind. She really worked hard.

Location is very nice. Staff also very nice. Library upstairs offers a beautiful view. Nice goodbye local gift which was very sweet and thoughtfull.

Breakfast was cold (cold omletees included) and so traditional that you cannot find even the most basic breakfast parts such as plain cornflakes, some kind of deli cheese/meat, etc. There is absolutely nothing for kids. Nor anything warm. No blackouts in the rooms, which is just odd given prices. No minibar of any kind.

There are so many reasons we enjoyed this hotel: amazing view of the entire Bran Valley including viewing the Bran Castle from our terrace, really great food, particularly the breakfast buffet was to DIE FOR!!!. Extremely quiet and relaxing area, where you can truly reconnect with nature. But the best part for us was the very cute library at the top of the hotel with 360 views of the valley where one could lounge for hours and get immersed into reading in comfy cocoon chairs. Adorable place with a very pleasant staff!!!

The entire stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff were helpful, responsive and added greatly to our enjoyment. The breakfast was a traditional Romanian style which we enjoyed greatly, the view from the rooms, the library and the grounds in general is 100% worth the visit alone. All rooms have a balcony and where the inn is located, no balcony view is bad - They are all great!

There was nothing that we did not like. All aspects of the stay exceeded expectations. It is not within walking distance of the main restaurants and such in town but this was not an issue for us as we drove around most days and there is more than enough to relax and enjoy at the inn but be aware for those that do not like to drive.
