Complejo Rural Las Lomas de Biar

Hosts were superbly friendly. Very dog friendly. They also have animals that are beautifully cared for.

My husband and I stayed here so that we could climb at the Reconco crag close-by. The owners, Mauro and Anna, were wonderful! They are Italian and I attempted to speak to them in Spanish. We could tell that they care about their guests. Their breakfast was good and it had an Italian flair to it. The dining room included a couch and TV and we were able to use that space for our dinners. Anna supplied wine glasses for us and a wine bottle opener. The grounds are pretty and it's in a quiet rural setting outside of Biar. I believe we were the only guests for the 2 days while we were there.

The bedroom/bathroom was a little small. There's a water pump in the bathroom that makes an odd sound when the water is running. However, we got used to these things and we would stay here again.

The swimming pool was nice and refreshing as it was a hot day. Quiet country property. Parking was free.

Money was taken from our card before we arrived, so on arrival only the cleaner was there to show us to our room. The restaurant wasn’t open, (which wasn’t advertised in the booking), and no one showed us where the swimming pool was or welcomed us to sit in the courtyard to have a drink. We felt we were intruding on private property. I was told the owners were lovely people, which they probably are, but they never greeted us or took any of our details at checkin. The room was very small with little room to put luggage. I had to move a basket out of the room to make room for my bag. The ceiling is very low, so with hot weather, the room was very stuffy, no fan or aircon. The large window did have a fly screen. A kettle in the communal area would be good. The accommodation is 2km from Biar and any eating places.
