Clean. Friendly staff

Room had a terrible smell. Kind of smelled like paint fumes but I think it was a very very strong air freshener or cleaning product. The fumes made it hard to sleep. But couldn’t open a window because the bottom floor windows had no insect screens and felt insecure to leave open

Living space, gym, bedrooms and location.

Wet areas are not well maintained. Bathrooms, laundry and kitchen all suffering age and water damage. Broken toilet seats.

Simple but with good choices

The bedroom, desk and seating area was very clean and fresh and smelt lovely. The room was spacious and the air conditioner worked well. I slept well, the room was quiet and pleasant. There were many power points and that was a real plus for charging my devices. The TV was a good size and worked OK until the last 36 hours when the 'smart card' ran out of data and I could no longer view English speaking news or channels. I was told this would not be rectified until after I had checked out.

Breakfast was very basic. I understand that there were very few people staying at the hotel at the time, but the milk was warm so I did not eat cereal and the fruit was going bad. Toast was OK. My main issue was with the bathroom - a rusty screw, dirty glass and overall black mold issues were in many places in the bathroom. This was very unpleasant. Also when I checked in, no one explained to me that the hot water system had to be turned on each time I wanted to use it. Also I was not given a second key and so when I would leave the room the refrigerator would not function and some of my items spoiled. The pool also appeared to have unclean tiles and I did not swim in it.

The hotel is conveniently located near the sea, close to a few good restaurants, and decent grocery store. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

All my expectations were met and no complaints.
