Hotel Sole

All good but for noise

This was a small traditional hotel slightly on the outskirts of Gela but set just back from the coast. Facilities of the town were easily reachable on foot. On-site free parking. Nice, good-sized bedroom with well-appointed bathroom which looked as if it had been recently upgraded. Another good quality buffet breakfast.

Main issue - not really the hotel's fault - is that there's a major refinery (cunningly omitted from the new Marco Polo map of Sicily) sufficiently close that it's hard not to be slightly aware of it.

We have there out of season so hotel was really quiet and parking lot in front of hotel was big enough. Not sure if it is big enough during summer Comfy and big room with balcony and sea view. Comfy bed and lining. Good location. Good swear breakfast

Bathroom has only bathtube with no curtain. So this is not very comfortable. Be prepare for italian breakfast - the sweat. But very tasty.

The staff treated you like family and were so helpful. Nice beach stroll and wonderful restaurants down the street. Immaculate hotel with large Oceanview rooms. Great value!
