Hotel Chalamandrin

Die Frau, die jeweils das Frühstück zubereitet hat, hat das gut gemacht. Das Frühstück war gut.

Sehr unpersönlich. Ich wurde weder willkommen geheissen, noch hab ich sonst irgend eine persönliche Note im Hotel gespürt. Hat sich angefühlt wie ein Hotel, ohne Hotelier, dafür ist es aber zu teuer. Werde ganz bestimmt nicht mehr da hin gehen.

Wir waren schon mehrfach im Hotel, uns gefällt die Lage, eigentlich bisher auch die Küche, Hunde sind willkommen, Ftan ist hübsch, eingebettet in eine schäne Natur und am 1.Aug von Feuerwerk verschont - gut für den Hund

Leider ist das Personal nicht mehr auf der Höhe, im Restaurant wusste der Kellner nicht, woher das Fleisch kommt, wir bestellten Lamm und bekamen Rind und das nicht - wie versprochen - vom Aussengrill, sondern aus der Pfanne. Der Kellner wusste bei den Weinen nicht Bescheid (und erklärte, er kenne sich bei Whisky aus). Mit den Pächtern gab es keinen Kontakt, nur ein anonymes Einchecken und Auschecken. Das Zimmer wird nur grmacht auf Bestellung. Insgesamt stimmt auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr. Leider.

We happened to be arriving on a day when the hotel is closed. We received very detailed and good instructions on how to gain access to the hotel and then to our room.

Our room was very small. There was no loo paper at all and the soap dispenser by the sink was totally empty. When we came down to breakfast, the only member of staff seemed more interested in looking at the computer than acknowledging our presence. Breakfast was extremely basic . Only boiled eggs on offer and a very meagre selection of bread and rolls. Birchermuesli was good. Only two gala apples and one orange on the buffet as fruit offering for the guests.

Very friendly owners, attentive and kind. Enjoyed my stay a lot. The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great: typical Swiss and with a great Birchermüesli - a joy. I didn't have an opportunity to try the restaurant, but the menu looked yummy. Accessibility is perfectly easy by public transport. The village is historic and quiet. Switzerland at its best. I will go back.

Staff very friendly and detail. The food of the restaurant is good. Room size is big.

Spacious rooms with lots of storage space, beautiful garden, nice restaurant and friendly staff. The location was good for both cross-country and alpine skiing, and in the summer also for hiking. Plus for the tea corner on the room floor.

Dinners were very nice however breakfast was rather poor in choices. It would be great to be able to order an omelet or fried eggs at least.
