Villa Eden

The location is great, it's just behind the road of the Promenade des Anglais (because it's a road, it's also quite noisy--but still, the property is right behind the beach :) ) I was also impressed by the new feather pillows with OEKO-TEX label!

The property and the room are very old. Not ancient. Old. Not renovated since a little while. The sound isolation between the rooms is close to zero. The shower room is extremely small and very unconfortable. All in all, if I ever had to recommend it (that I am not), I'd recommend for an overnight stay, but not longer.

Fun old fashioned vibe, could see the water, walking distance to fun parts of town, restaurants, etc, comfortable clean beds, simple hot shower.

I had an early morning flight and GOT STUCK INSIDE THE PROPERTY having left the funky “use this combo code and key between the hours of 10pm and 8pm” key chain with my friend back in the room - you are unable to leave via the front door, and need a special gate code to get both in AND OUT the fencing in the back. If we hadn’t used that route to enter the night before, I never would have known where to go in the early morning dark. Thankfully my friend woke up to the texts and could send me the code - just caught my Uber in time - a stressful departure from an otherwise good short stay.

I could hear the people in the next room, seems like the walls are a bit thin.
