Mountain Camp Ali Khaled

They are always late when offering meals.

The place is full of mosquitoes and flies. The internet and mobile connection is the worset in Egypt. The staff there are aggressive.

I stayed here on advice from others I met on the way and they couldn’t have been more right. it was so nice. It feels all magical with different sitting areas, fire pit a tree house and the different pools and the rooms are cute. Easy to organise trips to the desert or around the town or out to the salt lakes ect. Food is good. Absolutely must walk up the mountains opposite to see the sunrise in the morning. Fantastic views of the sun coming up over the lakes!

It’s not the properties fault it’s the nature of the area but advice if you are a mosquito magnet like me then bring mosquito spray for sitting out in the evenings.

The atmosphere, nature, dinners, the hot spring,

No information was offered to us about facilities upon arrival, no air conditioning, or fans available for the first two nights! Staff were informed, They kept promising but never done anything till the third day when speaking to Mr Ali khaled, then we were offered a proper room. the last night was pleasant, we wished the whole stay was the same .

Amazing place

The service was excellent and the people working there were very helpful and friendly

The only positives are that there is a hot spring on the property and a mountain across the street for watching the sunset and walking.

Too crowded. Loud music into the night. The live music was nice but when the musicians stopped at 11PM, they played recorded music so loud that it was distorted. I had to go out and ask them to turn it off. The beds are very uncomfortable...no support and probably very old.

the hot springs and pool are cool. the decorations are great in the garden!

because the hot springs are open to everyone all night long there’s bus/van loads of people stopping in all day and night. so you can be chilling in your bathing suit and several bus loads of people come in and out checking out the place. most of us staying at the camp chose to go in late at night after everyone left around midnight. it could use more cushions around the fires
