The Homestead

The view was fabulous and the room was beautifully decorated. Beds were very comfortable. We would recommend it as a place to stay.

We were in the wrong room which was still absolutely fabulous and it cost less than the room we were supposed to stay in. However we felt that the hosts blamed us for taking the wrong room, but when the key box code you are given unlocks the key boxy to the room you can only assume that was where we were supposed to stay! The hosts unfortunately refused to refund us the $200 difference which we felt was a little unfair.

We are returning customers because in the past we have loved the location, decor of the property and general ambiance of The Homestead.

This time we found our accommodation to be below the standard we have come to expect at The Homestead. The outdoor furniture was dirty and hosted many spiders. Breakfast was included however we only received this on the first day. The cutlery and some kitchen items were dirty. In general the room was dusty.

It was lovely, quiet, beautiful gardens and clean and tidy

Oh my gosh this place was just delightful. The hosts have thought of everything. From the breakfast basket to the pillows to the views - it exceeded our expectations. They were kind to extend our checkout after we arrived late due to an unexpected visit to ER. Will definitely be back!
