Non-managerial staff

This is a three star hotel if you are generous. I give it a solid two stars. The pictures don't depict the reality at all. The noise level here is unbearable. The constant Dhaka traffic can be heard. I understand there is not much one can do about that. However, the staff were moving furniture in other rooms at 7am, which makes absolutely no sense. There is music playing on all floors throughout the day. The room doors don't slowly shut but rather slam shut, you hear every guest/staff's entry and exit. The rooms are dated, dirty, and tiny. The many light switches in the room don't make sense. It's a nightmare trying to turn the lights off at night. They tried hard to go with the fancy window from the bedroom into the bathroom but it makes no sense as it's where the shower is. The bright light on the air-conditioner shines throughout the night. There are no clothes hangers in the room. Both during check-in and check-out the managers at the hotel were extremely annoying and we're trying to convince me I needed to pay an extra 27 dollars for my room. I explained to them that I was not going to pay a single cent over what was already agreed to on Booking.com. They gave me one excuse after another ranging from a change in room rate to different foreign exchange rates. They finally accepted that I shouldn't have to pay more. However, on the day of checkout the exact same drama happened again. Wasting precious minutes of my time before rushing to catch my flight. Needless to say not a single manager was onsite. The managerial staff here is rather incompetent and don't seem to understand how to run a hotel professionally.
