I stayed here last year, this was my second time. It is still an excellent place overall with the best value for money. Location is ideal, and the owner always made us feel very welcome. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, and food is tasty.

Room was comfortable and a lot bigger than I had expected with sufficient facilities. Jalal and his son were extremely helpful in arranging excursions as well as my travel back to Cairo.

Room and bathroom could do with a bit of better decor but nothing major.

Yussif and his father are very helpful. They don't try to 'lead' your Egypt experience. The hostel is also in a quiet place, you can reach it by the ferry very comfortable. The few things I tried in the restaurant were very good, so I would recommend you to try some of the dishes.

The facilities are clean but somewhat dysfunctional by design. 1
