"Does the job for transit, but not much more."

Near the airport. It does the job if you need to stay for a night.

The area looks bad, the older male receptionist was pretty pissed and unfriendly.

"An excellent newer and spotless hotel-great hotel if you have an early morning flight from Manta."

The hotel is rather new and is spotless. It is located 1km from the bus station and 1km from the airport which is excellent and only a $2.00 cab ride to either. The internet was excellent, the rooms bright and clean with excellent A/C. The outside yard has large inground pool that was clean and refreshing. Snacks and beverages were available in veinding machines in the lobby. The price included breakfast but I left before it was served due to a flight that I had to catch.

The only disappointing this was that there was a pool side bar but it was not open. Also, there are only 2 restaurants nearby within walking distance.
