Hotel Gotthard

Very close to train station and local downtown

The room needs a refrigerator And an AC in summer And a coffee maker

The location was good and the hotel entrance looked fantastic. The room was very spacious.

I had a problem trying to fit a plug adaptor as it only accepted very narrow pins. Luckily I have one that fitted, and this allowed me to work with the computer. I did not ask reception, but they should keep plug adaptor to lend to foreign visitors experiencing this problem.

The hotel is only a few steps away from the train station and local businesses. There is a limited number of parking spaces directly behind the building. The room was spacious, functional and clean. The beds were good. The bathroom is old but functional and is O.K. given the price of the room.

The reception by the staff could not be described as warm or welcoming: first thing, I was told to sit and wait, then to fill in a detailed arrival sheet. When I challenged the lady that they had received through my booking all the information that was required and could have filled the form in for me, I was told to keep dreaming. I couldn't get the impression out of my head that I was only «just another Booking.com customer». There was no personal exchange whatsoever.

Simple and straight forward with the possibility to eat at the restaurant.

Breakfast only as of 09:00 am - consequently I did not have breakfast at the Hotel but went to a café in Brugg
