Visnes Hotel Stryn

Pleasant historical hotel located just outside main town of Stryn. Well designed rooms, comfortable bed, and larger bathroom with hot powerful shower. Enjoyed the balcony. WiFi decent. Breakfast excellent. No other meals offered but suggestion for place in town was well received. Staff quite helpful. Parking spaces were adequate

175 year old property with all charm of an historic building. The owners Arvin & Maryt were super cordial and helpful. A really charming hotel looking over the lake.

As you might expect from an historic hotel you can hear the creaks of the floor (my ceiling) from upstairs. However, no one was walking around after 10 PM so no issue during the night.

We enjoyed our stay very much and especially enjoyed dinner at the adjacent Gastro Pub. Fabulous food - with an amazing view!

Can hear steps and creaks from all guess above. Dinner service was a bit pretentious and lacking friendliness.

Das Personal ist außergewönlich nett und zuvorkommend, besonders geschätzt haben wir die aufmerksame Bedienung beim Abendessen. Die vielen liebevoll ausgesuchten Gegenstände geben dem Hotel ein ganz besonderes Flair. Sehr gutes Frühstück!

The staff are wonderful. Mia was lovely and we enjoyed chatting with her (made it feel like you were gating with friends). The dinner was delicious and the breakfast was fantastic. Daily housekeeping with towels great. We also made use of the laundry room which was nice as no other hotels in the area seem to offer this service.

We booked two rooms, a single and the suite as we had our toddler with us. The room was extremely loud with traffic going by, as right outside a truck stop, not ideal. My mother’s room which was on the other side of the house was quiet (not on the road side). Maybe something to keep in mind if sensitive to noise.
