Hotel Ter Polders

The breakfast was somewhat disappointing, the location was fine.

This was a perfect overnight stop on the way from Dunkirk ferry port to the Netherlands. Not far from the main roads, but in a lovely quiet rural location next to a canal. Our hosts were very welcoming and spoke excellent English. We enjoyed having a drink at an outdoor table, watching the cyclists go by on the cycle lanes, and the food was great. Our room was comfortable and attractive, and had everything we needed, with a nice countryside view from the window. Breakfast was excellent, served at a set time with no choice except whether or not to have an egg, but everything that was brought to us was exactly what we would have chosen. Very cycle-friendly - we'd like to return on bikes one day!

Very nice breakfast and a friendly chef. Peaceful area close to farms & canal. Safe shed for our bikes.

Room would benefit from a refresh, a few paint chips, dusty under bed, some dead insects (it is the countryside of course). There was no extra toilet roll and shower soap dispenser was not easy to use (or fragrant, considering the brand).

Everything was lovely, a warm welcome, beautiful room and lovely view from the window! The food was superb, traditional and well prepared and presented. Altogether a really good experience.
