Hotel de Foetz

Although this hotel is small and the food is basic, breakfast is cold buffet, it is very well kept, clean and comfortable, we've stayed here for 4 years running and never had a problem. Staff very helpful. It has parking on site and there is a very good Pizzeria restaurant close by too. Good base to stay for exploring. It has no air conditioning or hairdryer, but it does have complimentary soap/shampoo, TV, spacious bedrooms.

We only stayed for one night and got everything we needed: a bed, free wifi, free parking, a good Italian restaurant in the neighbourhood and a clean room with hot water in the shower. The breakfast was very basic, but with good coffee ;-)

To start with, We got all that we were looking for since we stayed only for 1 night. The room is carpeted and very clean with basic facilities like soap and shampoo. Free Parking without any reservation. The staff spoke only french or dutch (No english) so there was only sign language between us. Breakfast is very basic; some toasts and cereal with coffee or tea. Location is very close by to the luxembourg city centre (just 15 mins drive) There is a shopping area close by and some nice restaurants.

I stayed here for 4 nights with a sports squad competing at a tournament over the border in French Lorraine. The rooms were basic but clean, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the free wifi was impressively fast (11Mb Down / 5Mb Up on one speed test), which easily allowed me to post photos to our facebook page after each day's competition. The location is fairly industrial, and the hotel is up a little side road which happily means there wasn't a lot of noise at night as everything is closed down, so we got some decent sleep! There is a supermarket at the end of the road, a Subway on the road, along with a bowling alley if a group of you need an evening's entertainment, and a decent Italian restaurant (Mia Terra) around the corner. The big downside was the breakfast which is a very basic continental affair - cereal and toast. We stocked up at the supermarket on the first day before pre-event training to supplement the snacks we'd brought with us as the breakfast clearly wasn't going to get us through the day.

This is a cheap little motel style establishment of 2 star standard, off the highway in a fairly industrial zone, but close to a few restaurants and shops. Service is friendly, all people working here are pleasant and helpful. The ground floor is all smoking rooms, and people smoke in the lobby and public areas like it's 1965.  Breakfast is very basic, cereal or bread with a range of jams and sandwich spreads. Tea and coffee. All served with a smile! The rooms are small, basic, clean. There is a slightly musty, damp smell under the smell of smoke. Ah what the hell, you get what you pay for.
