I am in dispute with the hotel because I booked through booking.com and paid in full, only to be telephoned by the hotel exactly 10 minutes later advising me that the rooms were not available and to press the button to cancel incurring fees to get a full refund. They have subsequently denied this. This is either theft or gross incompetence

I booked this hotel as I was in Ghent for a conference and wanted to keep costs low. I prioritized convenient location, price, and air conditioning, and the hotel delivered on these. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and it was great to have a minifridge even in a room this small. The location was fairly quiet but was only a short walk from a tram station as well as plenty of shops, restaurants, and sights. The "compact" room does indeed have a toilet and shower hiding in a closet, but they were perfectly sufficient for my needs. Arranging a late checkout was easy, and staff communication was great--not sure why other reviewers had issues, but if you use their WhatsApp you should get a speedy response. I would stay here again as a solo traveler.

The location is not at all well marked, and my taxi driver couldn't find it and dropped me off at the top of the street. I had trouble finding it at first as well but finally saw the keypad for entry. There is no elevator, and the stairs are steep and narrow, making navigating them with even a rolling carryon something of a struggle. This room would be a challenge for two people as it is very small. The closet bathroom has sliding doors, so you can't have privacy in the shower because you can't open the sliding door from inside the shower. You also have to slide the door over the shower to use the toilet. This was fine for me traveling solo, but I wouldn't book a Compact room for 2 people.

We were very disappointed of the room . Was small, without any chairs, table. Was clean but if you wish to use the toilet was not possible other gest, my husband to use the bathroom at the same time. Because of the sliding door between them. We had a bad experience 😔 So for the amount of money I don't recommend this hotel. Actually it's a hostel not a hotel. Also in the advertisement they said-we have a private parking for our customers-that's not true. They don't have it 🤔

De locatie was top. Bed was prima en er was airco, koffie en thee en zelfs een klein ijskastje.

Het toilet en de douche zaten achter een schuifdeur. Op zich slim bedacht maar het werkte niet zo goed. Deur van het toilet sloot niet helemaal en je moest constant bewegen anders ging het licht uit in toilet of douche. Voor 1 nachtje prima maar niet langer.
