Cotommatae Hydra 1810

A beautiful little hotel that has captured its history with original wood walls, antiques throughout and yet updated for modern comfort. Also the breakfast was plentiful and good.

My only complaint is that the door to our room was tough to handle, especially with weakened 'old' hands. But by the end of our stay, I think I finally figured out how to work the lock and door handle.

Beautiful building that has been sensitively renovated. Nice breakfast, very quiet, no street noise.

The steps up to reception. A sign saying leave your luggage at the street level would avoid unnecessary handling.

Beautifully decorated, intimate and cosy with all modern cons - absolute heaven and I slept so well! I’ve been to Hydra a number of times and this is now by far my preferred place to stay.

Nice location- gentle slope from port - big room - exceptionally good quality bedding and towels- very friendly manager/owner

I didn’t like not having any outside space to room- however this was my choice as other rooms that had outside space were on 2 floors. breakfast wasn’t to my taste as a lot of sweet stuff- to be honest though I find this in most Greek hotels - so more a taste thing on my part

We’ve been coming for a few years now and it feels like home, but the hotel is a bit outdated and needs a little renovation

The hotel is beautiful. There are so many antiques decorating the building. Breakfast was amazing every morning. The staff could not have been friendlier. The walk to the hotel did not have stairs you just had to be careful walking on the stone road.

It was a hike up the road, but by the third day it wasn't so bad.
