Hotel Garni Engiadina - Boutique Hotel

We loved our room once we upgraded to one that was above ground. It was roomy, had an eating nook and a nice bathroom complete with a tub. We loved the location of the hotel--it was in the older part of town. While it was an up hill walk to get to the main street for restaurants and shopping, the bus stop was right out the front door of the hotel. At 2:30 to 4PM the hotel provided coffee and a mid day sweet which was a nice. One day we got a yogurt parfait, the next, a chocolate cake. The breakfasts were great. I especially loved that I could boil my own egg. All of the food tasted local and fresh. They left a chocolate on the pillow every day. :)

This is not a complaint, only something to keep in mind. In this part of Switzerland (Scuol) less people speak English. We knew that going in. What was nice is the hotel provided a little cheat sheet with phrases in both Romansh and German.

Beautiful hotel, centrally located in a very peaceful area. Conveniently close to the bus stop where one can take the bus to the ski area. Room beautifully furnished and both room and bathroom very clean and spacious. Confortable bed and good breakfast. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We'll be happy to return!

Nothing. It would be even better if it had a restaurant but there were good options nearby.

Hotel is located some distance from the main road in a very attractive part of the town. However, it is a long and difficult walk from the main bus stop and the website needs to get better direction on the hotel's location from the main public transport links.

The staff was extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. I felt appreciated as a guest and comfortable at all times. They answered all of my questions and provided excellent suggestions. Great location. Only a 5 minute walk to the main road in the town, but in a lovely, quiet area that was less crowded and beautiful.

While it was actually better for me, I wasn't in the main building. For some, that might be an issue so that should probably be made clear. I'd hate for a guest to be needlessly disappointed by that.
