Beautiful locations, wonderful Spa, hotel full of old world character.

Service was slow, particularly in the bar. Full Irish Breakfast was a poor dish, well below standard for a hotel of this level.

The food was expensive but was not good value. I had a grilled ribeye for dinner and it was tough rather than tender. I left most of it behind me. It could have been served with more vegetables - I ordered cabbage as an extra and they served too much. Breakfast was nice but not worth €20 - the service was good, sometimes overbearing. The music during our dinner was sickly.

When I arrived at the reception desk, I gave my name and the receptionist appeared to have difficulty finding me on their system. My name is an Irish name and very recogniseable. However I was asked if I had booked it under a different name, which I hadn't. This encounter coloured my stay at the hotel. It was a voucher we received for our 25th wedding anniversary and we had been looking forward to the stay for a while, we had previously booked for last September but cancelled due to health reasons. This stay was not as as good as we hoped.

Beautiful location, stunning views. Dinner and breakfast were good, lunch was a little uninspired though. Staff were friendly and helpful, special thanks to Georgina in reservations.

Probably bad timing on my behalf, Easter holidays meant the place was packed with kids, didn't use the pool as a result, far too busy. I would go back, but definitely off peak.

The location & grounds are 5 ⭐️ at a lovely traditional 4 ⭐️ hotel. You can’t quite believe the beautiful surroundings until you arrive & explore all the walking trails, infinity pool & Spa facilities or even breakfast overlooking the amazing views. All the staff were excellent & friendly, thank you for a memorable stay 🙏🏻
