Location and surroundings are great, stuff is friendly, clean rooms with an old charm

Rooms are not soundproof

Superb tavolata at dinner - a succession of innovative, very tasty small dishes. Lovely atmosphere in this simply converted monastery. Friendly staff.

Room was spacious and elegant, but minimally furnished - just one hard chair, and a stool. As so many have commented, soundproofing was poor. Convenient for Stans station on the Engelberg line, but not much going on this peaceful little town. Rather overpriced, even by Swiss standards.

Very stylish rooms. Wonderful breakfast on Sunday as well as amazing diner experience with local and organic products. Very warm-hearted personnel

Breakfasts were just right, great location!

Was a bit confused on where to check in, and wasn't clear on where our rooms were. Not a huge deal, but an opty to be better.

The owner was kind and hospitable. I had difficulty finding the hotel and he literally walked to where I was so that I could get there.

It's pretty Spartan. One pillow for a queen size bed. I stayed on a very warm night and there was no AC. To cool the room I had to open all the windows, directly above the restaurant, so all that noise kept me awake.

Very special hotel with a lot of character. Beautiful building and view. Great staff

It could be helpful to have a fan in the rooms since there isn’t AC
