Guapote Lodge

Truly beautiful location with a river that runs through the property. Great restaurant on site with free breakfast which is delicious. The owners were so kind and very attentive.

This is glamping, which I was not expecting based on the property description. It is somewhat open to the outside (a curtain covers a large open 'window'). The main problem with this is that you really need to have lights out by the time it is dark out, which was by 6:30pm, otherwise the bugs are in your room pretty quickly. It is also a sheet metal roof with no insultation, so during the frequent rainstorms it is incredibly loud.

Our family loved the place! Giovanni and Vanessa were wonderful hosts. The place has the beautiful gardens, abundant wildlife and excellent food.

This place is truly magical. Hidden in the rainforest, it is simple, charming, and absolutely fantastic. You can listen to the sounds of the forest, observe animals, and even spot a sloth. What makes it even more special are the owners. Giovanni and his family are wonderful people—we feel so happy to have met them. We spent five nights at Guapote Lodge, which gave us time for deeper conversations and a truly meaningful experience. They are such warm and genuine people. The food is absolutely amazing as well! Thank you for everything—we highly recommend this place!

We recommend adding some hangers or a wall rack for wet clothes.

Un lugar realmente hermoso, con una atención excepcional. Don Geovanny y su esposa te hacen sentir como en casa, son muy amables y siempre están dispuestos a darte recomendaciones sobre qué hacer y cómo aprovechar al máximo la experiencia. Sin duda, es el sitio perfecto para descansar, desconectarse y disfrutar plenamente de la naturaleza. ¡De verdad lo disfruté muchísimo!

Great breakfast and lovely surrounds to walk around the property and see some wildlife

It wasn't clear that it was glamping - I thought it was a cabin. I didn't mind but felt it could have been clearer. That meant the price was a touch higher than I would have paid for glamping!

We hadden pech vanwege het slechte weer. Hierdoor was alles vochtig waardoor we niets konden drogen. Dit zegt meer iets van het klimaat dan de accomodatie. De accomodatie was prima.
