The Old Ferry Inn

The breakfast and the two ladies running it were fabulous.They should be the ones greeting the guests as the lady that greeted us and showed us our room was not particularly welcoming or friendly. Rooms ok ,but a bit dark and bathrooms very small.

Breakfast was lovely and the location was fantastic, and the staff were really friendly and kind.

We had our dinner here each night. It was very nice, but we would have liked to have had the option of vegetables with our dinner. The salad we had on one night was very small, and no other veg were on offer

It was a lovely place to relax with very friendly and helpful staff.

Location was OK but the minimal ferry service across to Fowey meant a lot of additional driving. Very little parking available and roadside parking only on a VERY steep hill- hard to manage with luggage.

The room was sold as a DELUXE twin. Pictures showed a smart modern room with a river view. The room was actually and old side,street view room. Threadbare carpet, dirty and smelled from previous dogs visiting, cracked mirror. The bedding was clean and fresh. But by no means was this room we thought we had booked for over £200 for 1 night. Male member of staff didn't acknowledge our arrival whilst serving at the bar, and only when another staff member appeared was I greeted. When we asked about the room, we were told it would have been less than half price if we had booked direct and no effort was made to improve our experience or change the room. Breakfast ladies were excellent and friendly and food was good, thank goodness. .
