RedDoorz at Hotel Rumberpon Sorong

Room was "surface clean" as in linens, floor, bathroom, etc. Air conditioning works well. Size of room is nice.

The top of the headboard was very dirty. Had a thick layer of dust and grime. Under the bed was the same. Internet did not work well in the room. Had to stand in the hallway for signal. Owners should remove the headboards entirely. They're the incorrect size, so add no aesthetic and are unnecessary and dirty.

We only stayed one night and it was perfectly adequate for these purposes. We went straight to the airport early in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff. The place suited us perfectly, a short distance from the airport, everything right in the center.

We have nothing to complain about

Walking distance to the airport, even though walking in Sorong with luggage is a bit tricky (sidewalks are nonexistent, or broken/interrupted), but this isn't the hotel's fault, of course! We walked to the airport for our early flight.

The floors and bed were clean, but all the other surfaces were very dirty (small table, chair, wardrobe). The room is very small, the table is tiny. There's only one power outlet to charge phones and the proximity with the table that can't be moved means you can't use an adaptor (the cables would be crushed on the side of the table). The window of our room didn't close (it is broken) and it is in a noisy place. So, the room is noisy and the aircon is working in an open window room (really impossible to close the window). I asked to change the room, but was told it was full. The chair was particularly dirty with rest of food between the material. The hot water: once it gets hot, you can't control the temperature to make it less hot. It gets scalding hot and the only way to finish a shower is to close the water, wait that the water in the pipes becomes bearable, then open it for a short time. And repeat. It is as if both taps had been connected to hot water, or there's not enough pressure in the cold water tap to tone down the hot water. We couldn't find a solution to get water that was just plain cold, or just a little warm. I'd gladly taken a cold shower. We had an early flight and it was difficult to find the member of staff for checking out, even though I had warned about our early check out and was told there was 24h reception desk. They take a deposit of 100000 for the key card. It was the only hotel who asked us this.

the name is very unfortunat. Please cange it to something else. The hotel is nowhere near the Harbor and is called "near Pelabuhan Rakyat. My drivers twice brought me to the wrong location and thought I needed to be droped somewhere near or at the harbor. Just call it Rumberpon (the old name and the street it's on!)
