Sukh Sagar Hotel

The location is great and very quiet. The host Mr Suresh (father) and Mr Vipin (son) were very helpful and accommodating. The vegetarian meals provided at the property was very nice too.

We loved this hotel. Beautifully turned out for a small inexpensive hotel. The owner and staff treat you like family and are extremely helpful and unobtrusive. The room was clean, the food was good wholesome fayre. Nearby was an excellent vegetarian restaurant and the temple and it's park were 30m away. They organised a reliable driver for us to the various historic attractions (NB world class) and a tuktuk to the station. It's hard to detail how much we enjoyed staying there. It's at the end of a cul de sac so quite quiet too. Turn right out of the front door for resturant , market, and ashram. We walked to the city palace about 1000m away. We will stay there again.

Small hotel but very clean and good maintained. Good location in the city center.

It was cleaner than any other hotels I have stayed at in India. The owner was helpful with organizing a driver and was available for questions. Not so much noise from the street as the rooms are on the back site.

The setup was a bit weird, there are only 3 rooms, all of them ground floor. 2 of them have windows, but those lead to a weird courtyard/hall, where the staff hangs out and vehicles get parked. So basically you have to keep the blinds shut all day for privacy. On request breakfast was available, and the owner or his staff would sit with you watching while you eating it. Breakfast room not really cozy. The owner was a bit too much up our business for our taste, I felt watched and judged at all times, but other people might like the personal contact. All in all I didn’t really feel comfortable the whole time.

Super clean, especially compared to other more expensive hotels I’ve stayed at in India. The owner is great and helpful. He hooked me up with a driver, Mahendra, who was really fantastic. The location is good in terms of walking to sites in the walled city, though note that Ubers cannot pick up within the city walls. You only have to walk a couple blocks to get an Uber though. Overall it’s really good value for the money. My only complaint would be that the room smelled strongly of cleaning products - a rather overwhelming chemical smell. I turned the fan on with the window open, and that helped, so I’d recommend to staff to air out rooms after cleaning by keeping the doors and windows open.

Safety, proximity and cleanliness There was security or staff always at the property and the owner lives opposite of the hotel. The hotel is inside the pink city and walkable to City palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. The room and washroom were clean and Babulal was always available to help us with a pleasant smile.

There’s a top floor with pretty views over the mountain and public garden right behind it. It was clean.

Room had no window. There are two other rooms in the property, both have windows to the patio. Didn’t quite understand the high rating. It’s clean, yes, but the room is quite simple. Fair for a lower price range in my opinion.
