Colony Inn

위치가 좋았어요. 두개의 방중 하나는 청결했고 뷰도 공원이 보여서 좋았는데 한 방은 냄새가 조금 났고 길가 창문이라 창문을 열수 없었어요

Very clean!

Got to the property and no one was at the office, a gentleman told us we had to check in at another place down the road and come back. It’s a historical building so big flight of stairs, no elevator and very hot at night when outside temps were in the 50’s. Rooms are small.

Nothing

The little house reminded us of Grandmas house: a bit old fashioned, but comfortable. Location is excellent and we loved the history behind it. Handy that there was a washer/dryer. Staff at Valley Inn very friendly.

Would be nice if we knew ahead that check in was at the Valley Inn. Also, not much coffee.

Old but clean

Extremely warm inside, no AC, only the bathroom window opened and so the fan had to go there. Bedroom window was permanently sealed Also would have been nice to know ahead of time that u checkin at another hotel a half mile away

Although the outside of the building looked a bit run down, we were pleasantly surprised by the inside. Looks freshly painted and it's nicely decorated. The room is large, clean, and has a comfy bed. Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and easy driving to attractions.

1. The windows in the room cannot be opened and there is no air conditioner. I know it's Alaska, but it is warm here during the day in early August and it makes the room hot and stuffy. There were several fans and the window in the bathroom could be opened. We put one fan in that window and the other in front of the bathroom to try to blow the cool air into the room, it helped, but we only needed to sleep with a top sheet, no blanket. 2. We were on the second floor and had to carry our suitcases up the outside long flight of old metal stairs. 3. The blinds blackout the windows but didn't fit properly, leaving light to come in on both sides of the blinds. 4. The water took around 10 to 15 minutes to heat up in the shower, but then it got very hot.
