Castello Antico Hotel

The stay here was hugely enjoyable and there is nothing to fault. The architecture of the rooms in the local Mani style is very pleasing. The room of a good size was well appointed and spotless. Breakfast was of the highest quality and there was a very good selection. The restaurant served excellent meals at very reasonable prices. And the staff were without fail of the highest standard - exemplary in the performance of their duties - cheerful and efficient. Good car parking. Easy access to the beach and a nice pool.

Relaxed hotel with delightful staff. Lovely restaurant and reasonable prices for dinner. Gythio is beautiful, square in mavrounia village had cheap lovely places to eat Mani peninsula is beautiful

A nice reasonably spacious room and small view of the sea. Beds were comfortable with good quality linen. The hotel is modern and the garden and pool area was attractive. Breakfast and restaurant was OK. Great parking area. Wi-Fi worked well. Hotel is located well out of town, so you need a car. Fantastic access to the beach.

Breakfast was a menu where you can order up to 15 items per person. Each item is served separately so you end up with far too many plates and bowls on your table. We had dinner and lunch in the restaurant on one occasion - was fairly average. The room has a hard heavy wooden couch, uncomfortable to sit on. Our bathroom sink had a small leak so the cupboard space underneath couldn't be used for toiletries. We alerted reception but the leak did not get fixed. The room has a loft, but there is no seating or daybed in the loft so the space can't be used.

Everything was beautiful, clean and comfortable . The staff is very nice and welcoming.

Everything was above expectations. The room, the staff, the garden, the food at the restaurant, the location. All were fantastic!

Excellent restaurant. A fun, safe place to swim and a nice beach to walk. Spacious rooms and an excellent staff. Surrounded by citrus trees and olive trees. Outstanding breakfast.

Views of olive groves and out to ocean were wonderful. Breakfast served at pool area was amazing with good selection and eggs cooked for you any way you like. Big range of teas and fresh fruit brought to you Al La Carte style. Bar open in the evening for cocktails. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lots of stairs not good for someone with leg problems. Parking at front entrance of hotel premises quite a substantial walk to the room but once you got there it was worth the outlook.
